A wonderful and sunny day for plein air. We had such a lovely time nattering over cake and tea, we almost forgot to draw! A beautiful oasis in the beautiful country.

Summer is really here! Bright sunshine followed us to Angela's
beautiful home and garden. Everywhere we turned, there was a scene of calm & beauty - rolling landscape, beautiful daisies, marigolds, horses, architecture etc. We painted as much as we ate cakes and chatted over cups of tea.

Berkeley Castle

Our first plein air event of 2024 was blessed with sunshine and great light. Surrounded by great history and scenery. We tucked ourselves amongst the roses, on the steps, on the balustrade as we each painted what captured our hearts.

Artist Andrew Hucklesby's workshop on 2 different ways we can use Ink & Wash in a painting. One is using ink followed by a watercolour wash, the other is using ink to add texture and detail to a watercolour base.
